Arrowhead has been working hard over the past few weeks to improve Helldivers 2 after a series of underwhelming updates. The response to the game’s first major update, Escalation of Freedom, was enough to tell that Helldivers 2 would die soon, however, the studio’s latest strategy has revived the game’s popularity.

Helldivers 2 Players Are Satisfied With The Latest 1.001.202 Patch

The patch 1.001.202 for Helldivers 2 is here and it finally fixed an annoying bug that was ruining the game for PC players. In case you’re not aware, holding the last stratagem input prevented movement on default PC controls, a technical bug that you definitely don’t want to come across in the middle of a chaotic battle. In an official post, Arrowhead Game Studios confirmed that this issue has been fixed and it’s safe to say that the community is very satisfied.

Other fixes related to game crashing were also fixed with the update, plus, the studio has also changed the way SOS beacons work. Before the update, the SOS beacons were destroyed when the squad was full, however, now they will be deactivated and will get activated once again if any squad member leaves the game.

Many players have complained that fighting enemies during Raise the Flag missions, a.k.a Spread Democracy missions, is quite difficult. Arrowhead has addressed this issue as well in patch 1.001.202. The studio has reduced the enemy spawn rate while progressing the Raise the Flag objective. A small yet crucial change that will affect the overall gameplay.

Further in the post, Arrowhead released a long list of known issues that it is currently working on. The top priority on Arrowhead’s list right now is, “Excessive ragdolling can cause a feeling of helplessness and frustration.” Undoubtedly, this is one of the biggest issues in Helldivers 2 right now, in fact, players are so annoyed that they have come up with various solutions. The studio has confirmed that it is testing many changes related to ragdolling, including a change that will allow players to stim while ragdolling.

The list also confirms that players soon might be able to “emote when flying through the air,” an interesting change that we didn’t know we needed. Arrowhead is determined to improve the game based on players’ feedback and for now, it seems like they are heading down the right path.
