Helldivers 2 Mechs are Nearly Here for Everyone,  But there’s a Catch

Recently, there has been a lot of teasing regarding Helldivers 2 and the imminent approach of mechs in the game, and now it has officially been announced that they are right around the corner. Sadly, we still have a bit of liberating work to do before we get our hands on these monstrous machines.

If you don’t know, Helldivers 2 is a live community game that tasks players with liberating different planets in the galaxy from automatons and aliens. As the game progresses, more planets will be taken over, and it’s our job to save them. This is what has led to the delay of our beautiful mechanical war machines.

As the game evolves, we are excited to see brand-new technology, weapons, and even enemies come into the game for us to experience, but what makes this a challenge is the fact that some of these new items could be locked behind a gameplay wall, just like the mechs are now.

According to some recent posts on the Twitter/X account for Helldivers 2, gamers were teased with a new set of mechs that were coming to the game from the factories on Tien Kwan, one of the planets in the game universe. However, there has been an issue that has stopped these mechs from rolling out.

While the game progresses, it makes sense for our enemies to slowly enter the universe, one planet at a time, but we never expected them to invade Tien Kwan and block the deployment of our mechs. This has led to a new major order within the game that tasks players with liberating Tien Kwan before we are allowed access to our new sweet mechs.

And it suffices to say that gamers are already flocking to Helldivers 2 in an attempt to liberate this new planet, as they want to get their hands on this new asset as quickly as possible.

Helldivers 2 has a lot of features within the game that many players won’t notice or won’t even care about, but when it comes to events like this, these features really stand out. At the time of writing, over 100K players are attempting to liberate Tien Kwan, according to the in-game stats, and so far, the planet is already over 48% liberated.

Considering this objective has only been active for barely 2 hours, this is an impressive feat. To add to the drama and realization that this planet is currently being liberated by the Helldivers is the fact that when you look out of your ship’s window, you can actually witness other players entering the fray.

It is a rather special feeling when you see an entire community of gamers working together as they attempt to save the galaxy from the enemies that want to destroy it.
