Helldivers 2 Patch Fixed All But One Issue That Will Become Arrowhead’s Kryptonite if Not Weeded Out Soon Enough
Helldivers 2 is probably one of the most popular titles in the world right now. Released in 2024, this game has made a special place in every player’s heart. There are some major reasons for this huge success as well: stunning visuals, captivating co-op gameplay, and exciting Major Orders from Super Earth.
Despite all of this, one persisting issue that this third-person shooter has been facing since its launch is its game-breaking bugs and glitches. Be it colossal bentacled impaling bugs or the Shield Generator melee invincibility mod, the game has seen it all. Most of these issues have been fixed, but there is still a persisting bug that is making the lives of the players miserable.
Helldivers 2‘s Private Lobby Bug is Just Nuts
As of now, there is no single-player campaign available in Helldivers 2. The game features multiplayer co-op PvE mode, which can be played by a maximum of 4 players. Like any other multiplayer game, Arrowhead Games Studios features the option of a private lobby, which only you and your friends can join, not any random player.
So far everything was good until a bug appeared when every lobby is considered to be a private lobby. People are waiting for a match to join, but even after that, they can’t join it because it states that the lobby is private.
It will show on the map to be available to join the mission but will utter the same statement on and on. This bug is so weird that even players who have their friends waiting in a lobby of 3/4, despite getting invites to join. All they do is get stuck standing in the ship with the freedom flag in their hands.
It’s been a while that this bug is in the game, but the shocking part is that Arrowhead Game Studios is yet to fix it. Although the highly anticipated Patch 1.001.100 is here, which not only fixed many persisting issues but also added some brand-new features.
However, until the developers fix the issue, you can try a method to get out of the mess. All you have to do is launch a mission and then switch the lobby from Friends Only to Public. Then, after your friends join the lobby, you can switch back again to Friends Only.
Not All Bugs in Helldivers 2 Are Bad
Almost all the bugs have made the players’ lives very tough. There is one bug that players don’t want the developers to remove from the game. Patch updates are meant to fix bugs and glitches, but Patch 1.001.100 has other ideas.
After this patch, the fan-favorite SH-32 Shield Generator Pack made the backpack Stratagem so powerful that it accidentally granted invincibility against the melee attacks from the in-game creatures to all the Helldivers who were using it.
PSA: Personal Shield Generator currently makes you completely immune to every bug except bile titans.

Although the CCO of the development studio, Johan Pilestedt, assured us that they are going to resolve this “rather embarrassing bug” asap.
Unlike other bugs, this one lets you stand without a single scratch amidst a horde of Terminids until a Bile Titan shows up and crushes under its feet. That is why most of the fans wanted the bug to remain in the game. However, that is not how it goes. Any bug, be it harmful or beneficial, will be removed sooner or later.
