Helldivers 2 Trick Will Stop You Dying From Fall Damage Ever Again
Helldivers 2 is an online live-service video game about defending the planet from hostile forces from above and across the stars. The game developers knew the game would be chaotic and the gaming community keeps discovering new things about the title that could save lives.
Arrowhead Game Studios prioritized promoting peace, liberty, and democracy, and the player base is doing its part. However, the players found other benefits that can be used later in situations that greatly involve defying the laws of nature and physics, like gravity.
Emoting Can Save Helldivers 2 Players From a Painful Death
Arrowhead Game Studios may have overlooked the benefits of emoting mid-flight and crashing down a high cliff.
Usually, falling from a terrible height will result in one’s immediate demise. It would have been convenient to carry downed allies in Helldivers 2 and then drag them to a safe area for medical attention.
Fortunately, it is still a video game, and subject to many other inconsistencies that could save more lives than expected. Some players found a way to save themselves from guaranteed death by emoting while in the air before making contact with the ground.
Granted, a player will still sustain minor injuries upon impact but they can shake it off and finish the job. There is no explanation other than the emote animation managed to protect a player from more serious injuries. It seems to be a bug or malfunction in the system that the developers may later fix in a future update.
When players emote in the air, it defies the laws of physics, however, it proved to be an effective tactic in protecting players from sustaining additional harm.
This unconventional move is expected to be adopted by other players in future matches, potentially becoming a new trend in the game.
Helldivers 2 Is Full of Surprises for the Gaming Community
The prospect of self-preservation by emoting is quite hilarious for a live service game. It requires quick thinking and fast hands to pull this life-saving maneuver perfectly and save players time from being eliminated and leaving their teammates clinging for dear life.
The physics involved with this broken feature can have positive applications to future matches that are more hectic and chaotic. However, it appears to break immersion and take players away from a moment of tension and replace it with humor.
It will only be a matter of time before Arrowhead Game Studios fixes this bug and willingly allows the players to plummet to their collective deaths. These problems will most likely never go away and the developers will have to pick up the pieces.
Emoting while in the air is something that not even the developers had in mind. Perhaps the gaming community will discover more exploits in the coming days.
