Helldivers 2’s Freedom’s Flame Warbond is Looking Like a Winner as New Options are Sure to Set Fire to the Game
Helldivers 2 has cemented its reputation as a go-to cooperative third-person shooter with a massive player base thanks to fantastic gameplay and continuous updates. The sequel to the top-down shooter from 2015 delivers on every aspect which makes players come back for more.
The latest update, set to release on August 8 is more than a minor update and will bring more than just a spark. Helldivers 2‘s Freedom’s Flame Warbond is sure to set fire to the game. The new firepower will bring a new meta to the Helldivers universe.
Freedom’s Flame Warbond Burns Bright
The Freedom’s Flame Warbond will certainly be the center of the upcoming update. It is poised to bring an arsenal of weapons and armor to the battlefield.
The primary weapon is the SG-451 Cookout, a pump-action shotgun that fires incendiary phosphorus pellets, and the FLAM-66 Torcher, a lightweight flamethrower perfect for close encounters. For secondary firepower, the P-72 Crisper offers a compact flamethrower option that fits in your pocket, ideal for Helldivers on the go.
There’s a booster, Fiery Drop, which brings the Firebomb Hellpods that will scorch the earth upon landing. Players can also look forward to pieces of armor, including the I-09 Heatseeker and I-102 Draconaught provide fire resistance it also comes with visual aesthetics, with burnished blood-red plates and silica fiber foam construction.
In addition to equipment, the premium Warbond will bring also a ton of customization including capes, skins, and emotes.

The moment Sony revealed more details on the Freedom’s Flame Warbond, players started sharing their opinions on the update.
One player, in particular, praised the developer’s decision to make flamethrower weapons both primary and secondary, saying that whoever had that idea was the best.

The new update will clearly bring massive firepower to players and with that in mind, one player said that the enemies (bugs) will be exterminated on August 8 when the update goes live.

While many can’t wait for the Freedom’s Flame Warbond to land in the Helldivers 2 universe, many are still worrying about the game’s other issues, like unexpected crashing, or adding new diverse content such as enemies and factions.
