Hidetaka Miyazaki Will Be Glad Some Understand the Mystique of the Outer Gods as Calls for Elden Ring DLC Quickly Get Squashed

With the success of Elden Ring‘s latest DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree, it seems like fans have raised their expectations for a future DLC. A fan recently asked the community if they would like to see a DLC that primarily focuses on Outer Gods in the game as fans have never got to know much about them apart from their mentions throughout the lore of Elden Ring.

However, many players feel like the mysterious elements of these Outer Gods are the reason why players find them so fascinating, so many are convinced that a DLC focusing on them would definitely ruin it.

Elden Ring Fans Don’t Want A DLC Focused On Outer Gods

A post on the r/EldenRing subreddit has suggested that the next DLC for Elden Ring could focus on Outer Gods such as The Formless Mother, The Frenzied Flame, and The Sealed God of Scarlet Rot.

It is certainly an interesting concept for a DLC but this is not something that the community would like to see as many comments opposed this idea.

The community claims that the the only reason why players find Outer Gods fascinating is because they know so less about them. These characters will lose their mystique the moment players learn more about them.

Outer Gods are mentioned throughout Elden Ring but they do not appear to manifest physical forms within the Lands Between and instead influence the events of the Lands Between in various ways.

The Outer Gods are also responsible for the events that happen both before and during Elden Ring‘s story.

Elden Ring players believe that they might have discovered the inspiration behind The Lands Between. In a post on the r/EldenRing subreddit, a player pointed out that the map of the game is very similar to the island of Hokkaido in Japan.

The first major DLC for Elden Ring called Shadow of the Erdtree was released last month. The expansion pack indeed added a lot of new exciting content to the game, however, it also brought back Hidetaka Miyazaki‘s traditional punishing difficulty level.

Many bosses in the DLC, particularly the final one, have proven to be very challenging for the players. However, players need to keep in mind that the difficulty level is deliberately set high as it is a part of the gaming experience.

FromSoftware’s Elden Ring is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Apart from being the best, it is also one of the best-selling games of all time.
