The hiker was then transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital.

This is the second incident within a month that a hiker was rescued from the Pacific Crest Trail. On June 23, a woman in her mid-40s was rescued from the trail after falling off of a cliff and into a rock chute in Southern Oregon.

The hiker was rescued by an Oregon Army National Guard HH-60M Black Hawk and transferred to emergency services after suffering several bruises and back issues.
