Honor of Kings to debut big festive events with Snow Carnival 2024

Honor of Kings, Tencent’s hit MOBA, is set to debut a new suite of in-game events and gameplay changes for 2024’s festive period! Featuring new enemies to beat, purchase events and more, it promises to be a real Christmas cracker for those of you playing over the holiday period.

To start with, what about the gameplay changes? Well, from November 28th to January 8th there’s a bunch of additions, the first being the new Snow Overlord and Snow Tyrant debuting on the 28th that grant additional slow or freeze effects when destroyed. Meanwhile, starting December 12th, heroes Lady Zhen, Princess Frost, Zhuangzi, Dolia, DaQiao and Shi can stack their water-based skills to cause an ice effect on opponents!

Next up, from November 28th to December 11th there’s the appearance of new Glacial Twists hazards in the jungle, which can reduce your speed and throw you around. December 12th to the 23rd will see the debut of the ice path effect from summoning Shadow Vanguard, and December 24th to January 8th will grant you a new ice sled when defeating the river sprite to use for support or retreat.

Up next, running from December 6th to January 8th we’ve got the Zero Cost Purchase Event that’ll let you nab one free item without spending any tokens when selected from those available during the event. Lastly, from December 24th to January 1st there’s the Gift Exchange where you can send and receive stuff with friends, with Gift Opening from January 1st to the 4th, ensuring you can receive a skin and a chance of getting a legendary!
