How to Destroy Fuel Silos

Helldivers 2 features all kinds of missions and objectives to complete on various planets and difficulties. One of these missions involves the Automatons. In these specific missions, players must destroy large fuel silos to prevent these particular enemies from manufacturing more units to fight.

This side mission is fairly straightforward to complete, but at the same time, it takes a considerable amount of time, which could lead to certain death if the player doesn’t take proper cover. This is a guide on how to destroy the fuel silos in Helldivers 2.

To Complete This Mission in Helldivers 2, You Must Secure the Area

Most Helldivers 2 players agree that any mission involving the Automatons is much harder compared to those involving bugs. Among the many missions that require you to destroy specific locations, one of the easiest to complete is destroying fuel silos.

Bot bases usually have a total of two silos to destroy. Enemies constantly flood this base, persisting until they eliminate the player.

Before starting the mission to eliminate the silos, the best choice for players is to secure the area by calling in turret stratagems and other tools to take out as many enemies as possible.

This is especially important because you’ll need a considerable amount of time to activate everything related to destroying these silos. After clearing the area and killing most of the bots, you can destroy these objectives.

Calling and Activating the Hellbomb to Destroy the Silos

When you’re close to these silos, a stratagem known as the Hellbomb will automatically become available. This stratagem swiftly releases a massive bomb, which requires manual activation.

Once you use the stratagem, you’ll need to wait for the bomb to drop. Then, approach it, activate it using the same method you would for any other in-game item, and wait a short period for it to explode.

One issue with this particular mission is that if you don’t place the Hellbomb close enough to the silos, it may not destroy the objective, and you’ll have to call another one to finish the task.

One advantage of this mission is that players can call in multiple Hellbombs if needed to complete the objective. One of the simplest missions requires precision to destroy the silos. This Automaton mission is one of the most basic ones.
