Before we jump into specifics, here’s a little background on the Bulwark Class. This class is the ultimate frontline defender, with its unique playstyle revolving around tanking damage, disrupting enemy assaults, and creating openings for allies to strike.

It’s not as flashy as the Assault or Devastator classes, but without a Bulwark on the team, you can feel the absence. If all of this sounds appealing to you, then you’re on the right track—or, you can check out our guide for all the Space Marine 2 multiplayer classes to pick one that you resonate with more.

The Bulwark class in the Space Marine 2 multiplayer mode is melee-focused and emphasizes defense and control. They start with 20% more health and don’t get a primary weapon, instead wielding a shield that can bash enemies and block incoming damage.

This shield, combined with the class’ general tankiness, makes it ideal for holding choke points, grabbing enemy focus, and protecting allies in a pinch.

Because you can’t don a primary weapon, you’re going to be heavily relying on your shield and the other tools at your disposal to stand your ground against the brutal Swarm coming your way.

You can hold your shield up with the parry key and run like that, so don’t be afraid to use it when you need it.

Bulwark Class Best Secondary Weapon

For the Space Marine 2 multiplayer mode, we recommend you choose the Gathalamor Crusade Plasma Pistol over the Bolt Pistol variations. This is going to be your only ranged weapon, and the Plasma Pistol makes it count.

Its charged shots deal significant damage to infantry and elite enemies. It synergizes well with the Bulwark’s melee-centric playstyle; soften up the enemy with your pistol before closing in for the kill.

Bulwark Class Best Melee Weapon

You really can’t go wrong with the Gathalamor Crusade Power Sword. It offers a great balance of damage and speed, and you’ll want as much speed as you can get since you’re going to be taking a lot of hits.

The Power First deals decent damage, but it leaves you open to counterattacks thanks to its slower attack speed. Ultimately, both are good choices, but it depends on your playstyle and how well you coordinate with your teammates.

Chapter Banner, the Bulwark’s signature ability, is going to be the bread-and-butter of your play style. This incredible powerful move regenerates both your and your allies’ armor in a certain radius. But, if you pick the right perks, you can further the scope of this ability and make it heal or buff damage.

For your Core Perks, we suggest you grab Intimidating Aura, Shock and Awe, and Defensive Advantage, which synergize perfectly with each other.

If you pull off a perfectly timed Parry, Intimidating Aura will deal AoE damage in a 5-metre radius around you while Defensive Advantage creates a Shock area for 5 seconds. Shock and Awe will bump up the damage enemies take in a Shock area by 25%.

For your Team Perk, Unyielding Ceramite is a great pick as it reduces the armor charge delay by 5 seconds for all of your teammates, working well with Chapter Banner.

Regarding your Gear Perks, the ‘best’ loadout changes depending on what kind of play style you have. For this guide, we’d recommend picking Focused Strength, Invigorating Icon, and Rejuvenating Effect. These will buff your Shield Bash and also give Chapter Banner the ability to heal and revive incapacitated members.

Finally, for your Signature Perk, Emergency Countermeasure will give you some extra protection by spawning a Shock Grenade at your location when your armor breaks. You can’t protect your squad if you’re down!

This Bulwark Class Space Marine 2 guide will give you an edge in every match. However, as we mentioned before, choosing the right Perks largely depends on how you like to play, and if you trust your teammates to have your back.

That’s why, we’d like to ask you: What loadout do you use for the Bulwark Class? Are there any tips you’d like to let us know? Drop them in the comments below!
