How To Earn The Armiger Promised Title

Starfield received its first major expansion, Shattered Space, recently, and like the base game, the expansion has brought a plethora of content to explore. The expansion takes players to the mysterious home world of House Va’ruun, and they need to complete missions to explore the story further. Even players can earn different titles, including the Armiger title.

The world of Shattered Space is different than its base game. The darkness is overwhelming, and players may easily miss some activities. Therefore, if you are curious about how to earn the Armiger Promised title in Starfield: Shattered Space, this guide will help you with all the required information.

This title comes as a consequence of a choice during a ritual in the Serpent’s Path, and below we will discuss how to reach the choice and what you should choose to earn the title.

Interacting with Malibor will take players to the next step to get the title they are looking for.

Earning the titles is part of the main story of Shattered Space. After you start the expansion, main story missions will pretty much take priority to complete. Therefore, it is hard to miss out on these titles, although the process is lengthy.

To begin with, players need to keep progressing through the game until they get The Promised, Broken mission. This is the second main story mission in Shattered Space.

Once you start this main story mission, it will eventually take you to the Serpent’s Path. This will take place after you agree to become a member of House Va’ruun and follow the high councilor Malibor to roam around the city.

During this process, you will get to know that you have to go through a ritual to become a Promised member of House Va’ruun. At a point, he will leave you with Inaza Kaisir, the Herald of the Serpent. This is when you have to state that you are ready for the ritual.

Tip

Don’t talk to the common people while roaming around the city, as they don’t accept outsiders as friends. Only Promised members are allowed to interact with them.

There’s no alternative to choosing to complete the ritual. If you ignore the call of Inaza, you can’t be a Promised member and must leave House Va’ruun. Therefore, your objective of saving the city will also not be accomplished.

As you have now agreed to complete the ritual, there’s an entire way that needs to be crossed to reach the place to complete the ritual.

The Serpent’s Path Choices in Shattered Space

choose to spare or kill the groat.
If you want to spare the Groat, you can go for it without thinking of it twice.

The way is long before you reach the main ritual and get the title. It is not tough but has some choices to make. As you keep progressing through the Serpent’s Path, Inaza will accompany you through the dark tunnels.

Making your way forward will eventually take you to multiple shrines. After crossing three shrines, the fourth one will be found on the other side of a small pool. Now the choice is between whether to step into the water or not.

You can go inside the pool as the water won’t do much harm, and the effect of the poison will go away within a few seconds. You will get the meditation option without stepping into the water. So, it’s better to choose it.

The next thing that requires you to make a choice is when you find the Groat. This is a weird creature, and you have to choose between whether to sacrifice it or not. The choice doesn’t alter things much. You can go for anything you prefer. While sacrificing it will prove your loyalty to House Var’uun, sparing it won’t do any harm at all.

After that, you will finally reach the location where the main ritual will be performed.

Which Effigy Should You Pick to Get the Armiger Title in Shattered Space?

shattered space has four effigies to choose between
Depending on the chosen effigy, you will get a certain title.

Now that you have crossed all the way to the ritual’s location, Inaza will give you a long lecture. Next, you will be given the option to choose a combination of two Effigies to get a specific title. The four Effigies are Strength, Perseverance, Obedience, and Devotion. These items are placed on an altar.

Each combination has a corresponding title. For example, if you choose Effigy of Strength and Effigy of Devotion, you will get the Harbinger title. Similarly, another combination will earn you the Vindicator title

Now that you are willing to get the Armiger title, you have to select Effigy of Strength and Effigy of Obedience. Pick these two Effigies, place them on the designated altars, and interact with Inaza on the other side of the open door to receive your desired title. Remember, if you pick anything else, you will get another title and not the Armiger.

Anyway, titles don’t play any vital role in the gameplay; still, it is great to have a title.
