Note: Some spoilers for story moments with Sarah Morgan.
Starfield: How to Recruit Sarah Morgan
You’ll have to first visit Constellation Lodge in Starfield to start the series of events that lead to Sarah Morgan’s major role in your story. This place is located in New Atlantis and holds an essential narrative point as you progress through the prologue.
When you start the quest The Old Neighborhood, Sarah will ask to become a companion for a short while. This may just be Starfield‘s way of asking you whether she’s worthy of your time and adventures.
Once you’re done with the quest, she can join you permanently. Sarah usually likes it when you don’t opt for morally gray decision-making and avoid killing innocent people around her.
Tip
Sarah Morgan can be romanced, just make sure you spend enough time with her on your journey and use kind and peaceful dialogue options.
Based on her skills, Sarah has four points in Astrodynamics, three in Lasers, two in Leadership, and one in Botany. She can be deft in combat and often does well with laser-based weapons. In case you find weapons that fit this category, make sure she has one equipped.
Sarah Morgan’s Role in Starfield
During the early stages of Starfield, you will visit Cedonia in the Sol System to retrieve the second artifact according to the game’s major plot line. In doing so, Sarah develops a newfound affection for uncovering the mysteries of the universe. This is also a big part of her personality, so it kind of aligns perfectly.
Keep spending enough time with Sarah on your adventure, and this will open the doors to new dialogue prompts and build a healthy relationship between the two of you. You will learn more about her past and perspectives towards life, leading to important moments in Starfield’s storyline.
However, just like other companions in the game, not every moment with her will feel great, and the AI can feel a bit absurd at times, especially based on how she reacts to certain things and how she does in battle.
