How to Start Co-Op Play

Cult of the Lamb has received a massive free update called the Unholy Alliance, which finally brings cooperative play to the excellent rogue-lite adventure. Running a cult isn’t an easy task, so it’s nice to have a helping hand along the way. Here is how you can start co-op play in Cult of the Lamb.

How to Start Co-op Play in Cult of the Lamb

To start co-op play in Cult of the Lamb, you need to add a co-op player from the pause menu and assign an input for each player.

Here are the detailed steps:

  • First, load up your save file, and pause the game
  • Select “Add a Co-Op Player”
  • Now, assign the correct inputs to both the Lamb and the Goat (the co-op partner). It’ll take a second to figure out which controller is mapped to P1.
  • After that, you can summon the goat as the second player, and they will show up on the screen next to you.

That’s all you need to do, and if you want to remove the player, for whatever reason, simply select “Remove Co-Op Player” in the pause menu.

Does Cult of the Lamb have Online Co-Op?

No, Cult of the Lamb does not have online co-op, it’s limited to local co-op. However, you can use Steam Remote Play, and play it online using that.

How to Unlock the Goat in Cult of the Lamb

To unlock the Goat as a playable character, you need to unlock the new Goat Fleece in the Crown Menu after you have unlocked Corrupted Relics and Tarots.

The Unholy Alliance brings tons of new content on top of the co-op update including new Traits, Quests, Buildings, Relics, Tarots, and a whole lot more. We had a great time with the original release, and can’t wait to dive back into it!
