I’m Tired of Everyone Not Agreeing the Break Action Shotgun is the Best Support Weapon in Helldivers 2 Bug Missions

When Helldivers 2 was first released in February 2024, the SG-225 Breaker Shotgun quickly became one of the most popular guns in the game, In fact, many players called it the best weapon in the game. Eventually, Arrowhead Game Studios decided to ruin the powerful shotgun by nerfing it but thankfully, the weapon was buffed up recently.

Using this weapon on semi-automatic will make it an absolute powerhouse that can shred through hordes of Terminids. Being a shotgun, this weapon is extremely powerful at close range and does fairly well at mid-range as well. It can be used against Automatons as well, but it is particularly effective against Terminids.

The SG-225 Breaker Is The Best Weapon You Can Use On Terminid Missions In Helldivers 2

Players have plenty of weapons to choose from in Helldivers 2, but the best one is undoubtedly the SG-225 Breaker Shotgun. This weapon has established itself as one of the best primary weapons in the game, particularly on Terminid missions, because of its relatively fast fire rate compared to other shotguns in the game.

Like many other weapons, the Breaker was also nerfed but in the recent patch 1.001.100, the capacity of the magazine was set to 16 shells, and the stagger force was also increased from 10 to 15. The gun even works well against armored enemies as it has light armor-penetrating weapon traits. Players can also use it in the semi-automatic mode to save ammo. If you haven’t tried this weapon, you definitely should right away.

This weapon can be unlocked on page four of Warbond: Helldivers Mobilize and two variants of the weapon, the SG-225SP Breaker Spray&Pray and SG-225IE Breaker Incendiary, are also available.

Arrowhead Game Studios Is Working Hard To Save Helldivers 2

It’s no secret that Helldivers 2 was losing players at an alarming rate, however, Arrowhead has managed to turn that around with the patch 1.001.100. The reason why Breaker and many other weapons, Stratagems were improved is because the community was not happy with the nerfs.

To make sure the community gets what it wants, Arrowhead devised a 60-day plan to improve the game using players’ feedback. They have improved various fan-favorite Stratagems like Flamethrower and Railgun but this is just the beginning.

In case your favorite Stratagem was not buffed, don’t worry as Johan Pilestedt, CCO of Arrowhead, recently confirmed that many other Stratagems will be reworked in future updates. For now, the community has praised Arrowhead for the update but there is still room for improvement. A lot of unreleased content that has been discovered in the game’s files has proved that the studio has big plans for the future.
