Indiana Jones and the Great Circle runs at 60 FPS

Mysteries await in the new Indiana Jones game by MachineGames. Set between the times of the movies Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade, players will get the chance to feel like Indiana Jones in this first-person action game.

In a recent interview with Windows Central, Creative Director Axel Torvenius confirmed performance targets of 60 FPS on Xbox Series X|S. This was his response to probing from Windows Central.

“It might be that we will release even more details in terms of specifics, technical details, as we get closer to launch, once we see all the telemetry on performance. But what I can tell you is that the ambition is that the game runs at 60 FPS on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, and that, you know, it shouldn’t be compromised in the visuals or the experience of the product. It should feel cohesive, running smoothly at 60 on both.”

Frame rate is always a nice plus. Especially on consoles where many new releases do not seem to try to push for higher frame rate and instead, focus on graphical fidelity. From the response here, MachineGames might be pushing for both, which is most welcome. Todd Howard, executive producer for Bethesda Game Studios, is also acting as producer on this game and has been working closely with its development team for the game.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will be focused in the year of 1937, and like the movies, will feature several different historic locations and be loosely based in historical fiction. Howard approached MachineGames about making this game, feeling that the two were near perfect partners for this project.

The game has also been confirmed to be coming to PlayStation in Spring of 2025. Players on Xbox and P will be able to play December 9.
