Ineos Grenadier production paused | The West Australian
Off-roader brand Ineos Automotive is pausing production due to issues at one of its suppliers.
Automotive News Europe reports production of the Ineos Grenadier will be halted for an indeterminate time period as one of its suppliers is in financial trouble.
“It might be toward the end of the year or early next year,” Ineos Automotive CEO Lynn Calder told Automotive News Europe when asked when production will resume, though she noted it could resume sooner.

Ms Calder didn’t specify which supplier is holding up production.
“The supplier is in a pre-insolvency situation. It’s a trim part but one that we can’t sell the car without,” she said.
“I know that the [supplier] is working really hard to try and turn around their business and I want to give them every opportunity to do that.”
In the meantime, the company is looking for a secondary supplier to get Grenadier production back online as fast as possible.
Ineos Automotive reportedly started notifying retailers and customers about the problem on September 19.

It comes at an inauspicious time for the brand, which is preparing to launch in both Mexico and China to bring its total number of global markets to nearly 50.
It has been busily expanding its Australian lineup since local deliveries began in 2023.
The Grenadier Quartermaster Cab Chassis joined the Grenadier SUV and Grenadier Quartermaster ute earlier this year.
All Ineos models are based on the same rugged off-roader platform, though the company had previously confirmed it was planning a smaller model for a 2027 launch.
It subsequently announced in July it would be delaying the global debut of the Fusilier battery and range-extender electric vehicle (EV and EREV) range due to cooling EV demand and “industry uncertainty around tariffs, timings and taxation”.
