Is a False Ad Lawsuit Coming for Activision? Black Ops 6 Vault Edition Giving 20 Tier Skips Instead of the Promised 50 Rumor Explained

The latest entry in the Call of Duty franchise, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, is being cited as one of the best Call of Duty games of all time. Thanks to its engaging campaign, chaotic multiplayer, and thrilling zombies, the game has easily managed to hit its sales expectations. Currently, players can purchase two versions of Black Ops 6: Standard and Vault Edition. The Vault Edition gives players some exciting content. However, it seems like some players are sure that the rewards were tweaked before release.

A post went viral on Reddit that claimed Activision had reduced the Tier Skips in the Vault Edition from 50 to 20. Many speculated that Activision would face a false advertisement lawsuit because they tricked players into thinking they would get 50 tier skips, however, this is not the case. Here is a short breakdown of this rumor.

Did Activision Secretly Change The Rewards Of Black Ops 6 Vault Edition?

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 had a gigantic marketing budget, so the marketing team didn’t hold back while promoting the Vault Edition for the game, hoping the attractive rewards would convince players to pre-order the game. The Vault Edition also gave players Tier Skips, which many assumed was 50, but that was never the case. Previous Call of Duty games gave a 50 tier skip, however, this trend was not followed for Black Ops 6.

On June 10th, the official Black Ops 6 – Vault Edition Trailer was dropped on YouTube and the trailer clearly states that the Vault Edition would give players 20 Tier Skips, not 50. An image has been circulating online that shows a promotional picture that says players would get 50 Tier Skips. People sharing these images claim that this picture was taken from a very old trailer.

It’s unclear where this image originated from but since the game’s reveal in June, Activision has always stated that the Vault Edition would give players a 20 tier skip. It is also to be noted that pre-orders began around the same time the game was revealed, so even if Activision changed the rewards, it was before the pre-orders went live.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Is Getting a Lot of New Content In Season 1

Season 1 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 adds new weapons, new maps, a variety of new modes, the integration of Call of Duty: Warzone with BO6, and the debut of the new Resurgence map Area 99. With Season 1’s release, players instantly gained access to three new multiplayer maps: Hideout, Extraction, and Heirloom. Since its release, Black Ops 6 has been criticized for its multiplayer maps, but hopefully, this problem will be solved in Season 1. It has been confirmed that Hacienda, a map from Black Ops 4, will also make a comeback soon.

The brand new Season 1 Battle Pass System grants players the opportunity to earn 100+ rewards, including free base weapons, numerous Weapon Blueprints, Equipment Skins, and Operator Skins. Black Ops 6‘s campaign has been praised by fans, however, the studio has yet to make multiplayer a flawless experience.
