Is Assassin’s Creed Shadows Multiplayer? – Answered

To date, the entire Assassin’s Creed franchise remain single-player experiences. It’s part of the charm, as you can jump in and out of the gameplay with little effort. But times are changing, and many players want online functionality to increase longevity. So, is Assassin’s Creed Shadows multiplayer?

One would think that considering there are two main characters in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, we’d have an opportunity to play cooperatively with a partner. Unfortunately, that’s not the case. Assassin’s Creed Shadows is a single-player game with no multiplayer or cooperative game mode to speak of thus far.

Could that change? There’s always room for Assassin’s Creed to grow and evolve, but to include a co-op game mode? That’s unlikely.

If you want a multiplayer Ubisoft title, Rainbow Six Siege or Skull and Bones provide plenty of cooperative and competitive entertainment!

While Assassin’s Creed Shadows doesn’t feature multiplayer, players still want to know about its online capabilities. More importantly, is Assassin’s Creed Shadows online only? Thankfully, you do not require a constant internet connection to play the upcoming single-player experience.

Once you finish downloading and installing the game, you no longer require a constant internet connection to play. This is a welcome change, considering recent trends in gaming.

That said, Shadows will likely feature an in-game cosmetics shop, like previous titles in the series.
