“It was only a matter of time before…”
Helldivers 2 is not leaving the headlines anytime soon; this game keeps on growing with every passing day. And this is in no small part thanks to its developers, Arrowhead Game Studios. They have been working very hard ever since this game’s launch to make sure every gamer out there gets their money’s worth, and as of yet, they haven’t failed in this endeavor.
A big part of this success is played by Arrowhead Game Studios’ approach to bringing new content to this game. They have not done it in the typical manner as DLCs and such; instead, they have given players a dynamic, constantly changing world that hardly remains the same. This allows Helldivers 2 to remain a fresh experience even for gamers who started playing it at the launch. Their most recent update for this game is great evidence of this.
Helldivers 2 players better brace for yet another challenge approaching them!
A while ago, Helldivers 2 creative director Johan Pilestedt had already become a very well-known personality in its community. The fans of this game know that if they want a legitimate answer to any question regarding this game, they just have to reach out to him.
The best part is that Johan Pilestedt is also a very fun guy to interact with; he knows how to keep things lighthearted. This was proven a while ago when someone asked him about the possibility of flying Terminids in Helldivers 2. Every fan out there knows that his reply was worth remembering, as he called this rumor propaganda.
This stance changed very quickly when players started seeing those flying bugs in the game for real. They proved a handful too; players are still struggling to find the best way to deal with these new monsters. But even more shocking was Johan Pilestedt’s reaction to this new development; he was literally shocked.
And now, after those two happenings, players have once again started noticing that Terminids in Helldivers 2 are behaving weirdly. They even popped a question, wondering if these monsters are capable of evolving into something even more dangerous.
A very short time later, Johan Pilestedt confirmed this rumor. It appears the flying bugs were indeed a result of some kind of evolution that took place in the past couple of weeks amongst the Terminids.
In regards to the Mo-Int report on a new, previously unseen, flying bug:
I want to be very clear: I have always believed there to be a possibility of flying bugs. Everyone knows that “Most bugs fly” and it was only a matter of time before this strain would evolve naturally.
This is one of the best examples of how they have created a system in a dynamic world where things keep changing. These kinds of changes are constantly keeping things interesting and challenging for those who have been playing this game.
Now, it would be very exciting to see which direction this game takes going forward. One thing is for sure: Arrowhead Game Studios will have something else planned for their fans next time.
It looks like Sony finally has what they wanted for so long
Sony had been looking for the perfect live service game for their platform. They even put most of their studios to work in an attempt to create the perfect game. They also bought Destiny creator Bungie for the same reason.
It turns out the game they were looking for was hidden in a title game that no one ever expected to be so popular. This is the kind of lightning that can only be captured in a bottle once in a lifetime.
