It’s Official, a Huge Chunk of the Elden Ring Fanbase is Now Worse at Shadow of the Erdtree Than a Goldfish

Elden Ring is the pinnacle of the Soulslike genre and only a handful of players are skilled enough to finish it. The Soulslike genre is not for the faint of heart and the game developers pride themselves with the intense difficulty with the mindset of giving the gaming community the push for self-improvement.

Some players are naturally gifted and skilled in video games with intense combat, while others trained hard to overcome all the roadblocks. One content creator proved that humans are not the only creatures cut out to beat intense games after his pet goldfish accomplished an impressive feat.

A Content Creator’s Pet Goldfish Asserted Itself as the Ultimate Elden Ring Player

FromSoftware single-handedly pioneered the Soulslike genre, and each new project featured massive improvements from previous installments in every way possible.

The intense difficulty of the genre piqued the interest of the gaming community which inspired a generation of players to be more competitive against themselves to build up their character from humble beginnings.

Not everyone is cut out to play a Soulslike game and there is no shame in that. Some players lack the skill set to advance; however, some players with even greater disadvantages choose not to let their differences dictate their capabilities like DeadlyPG who only used voiced commands to finish the Elden Ring expansion.

It is inspiring to see content creators overcome their disabilities and do what others could not. Another content creator wanted to give his pet goldfish the same opportunity, and the results caught the gaming community off guard as the goldfish somehow miraculously defeated the final boss of the game.

PointCrow‘s goldfish defeated Promised Consort Radahn, and was incredibly excited when the final hit landed.

Some players would rather complain and whine about the difficulty online rather than put in the work and effort to improve their skills.

Those players now have no excuse and pin the blame on the difficulty, unlike beginners such as Kai Cenat’s great progress in the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion after a harrowing yet fruitful journey from the base game.

Other content creators thought of other creative ways to feature the latest entry in the Soulslike franchise to prove that it is not as hard as many would describe. Miss Mikkaa played the expansion simultaneously on two separate platforms and burdened herself to play it on a dance pad.

Skills pay the bills and content creators like Kai Cenat, Miss Mikkaa, and DeadlyPG prove that anyone can beat Elden Ring regardless of luck, experience, and patience. PointCrow’s pet goldfish earned the same respect as these content creators for accomplishing a difficult task even casual players struggle to do today.

Some players want an easy experience, but director Hidetaka Miyazaki Miyazaki wants the gaming community to learn that things will get worse before they get better, and players are in control to get out of the situation they are currently in with great effort.

The developers from FromSoftware didn’t expect a pet goldfish to beat the final boss and are likely impressed. If a goldfish can do it, then anyone can.
