“It’s the last great GTA”: Rockstar Has an Impossible Task With GTA 6 When You Realize the Critical Flaw in the Prequel That No One Talks About
The whole gaming world is right now eagerly waiting for GTA 6 to be released. This highly anticipated title has set a huge benchmark in the gaming industry people are becoming mad about Rockstar not releasing the game, and there hasn’t been this much excitement for any game ever.
Right after this title comes its predecessor GTA 5, which is the biggest gaming title of all time so far, in terms of revenue collection and popularity. Despite being an 11-year-old game, fans can’t get tired of playing this game. However, still some fans think this massively popular title was nothing in front of GTA 4.
GTA 4 was so much better than GTA 5 in one area
Every Grand Theft Auto title was released under the leadership of Dan Houser, the co-founder of Rockstar Games. However, the legendary gaming personality left the company in 2020. So, for starters, GTA 6 would be missing the magical touch of the Godfather of this iconic franchise.
Paying homage to the contributions towards this franchise, a dedicated GTA fan posted a picture featuring some of the greatest Rockstar titles. In that post, one player straightway declared GTA 4 to be the last great Grand Theft Auto game.
According to them, GTA 5 messed up the whole game by emphasizing three characters. Rockstar should have stuck to only one character like GTA 4‘s Niko and focused on making the in-game world more interesting.

They claimed that GTA 5 doesn’t have to offer you much after you finish the whole story mode except wander aimlessly on the huge map without any “real substance.” GTA 4 gave importance to Niko as he was “so fleshed out and realistic about everything.” Niko felt like a real-life character who was thrown into the darkness of Liberty City after facing huge hardships as he was a war veteran.
GTA 6 should refrain from committing the same mistake
Now, this is where the problem arises for GTA 6. The upcoming title will also feature more than one character – Jason and Lucia – the two main protagonists of the game.
If GTA 6 wants to carry forward the legacy of the franchise, then it must focus more on the missions and the gameplay rather than emphasizing those two characters much. Or this game will also turn out the be like GTA 5’s blatant and dull gameplay after you are done with the story mode.
However, shifting the focus away from the characters would be a bit tough for the developers this time. GTA 6 is going to feature a female protagonist for the first time in the franchise, so the Rockstar would be careful about this character as there are some woke allegations already hurling toward the development company.
GTA 5 too focused on a single character too much. Yeah, you guessed it right— Trevor. In order to make the character badass, the developers made Trevor monotonous — the same unnecessary angry remarks, repetitive dialogues, and predictable impulses. We hope Rockstar won’t repeat the same mistake yet again, in the upcoming title.
