James Gunn’s Superman: Set Photos Reveal The Daily Planet
For almost as long as Superman has been around, The Daily Planet building has been the workplace of the Man of Steel’s alter ego, Clark Kent. Almost all of Clark’s closest friends work there as well, including the love of his life, Lois Lane, Jimmy Olsen, and Perry White. Next summer, director James Gunn’s Superman will reintroduce all of these characters on the big screen. But The Daily Planet itself is ready for its close up right now.
Via IGN, production of Superman has moved to Cleveland, and the film’s crew has already turned parts of Superior Avenue in downtown into a recreation of Metropolis’ exterior. Cleveland’s Leader Building has also been turned into The Daily Planet building, complete with the giant globe logo of the newspaper.
Cleveland’s Channel 5 News also shared a look at The Daily Planet building.
Mild-mannered reporter @KosichJohn swung by the Leader Building in Downtown Cleveland this morning and spotted this iconic gem outside “The Daily Planet.” The rest of the world will get its chance to see it in the Superman Genesis movie. pic.twitter.com/eLRq7k5cpo

David Corenswet’s Superman/Clark Kent hasn’t been spotted near the Metropolis sets in Cleveland yet. But Corenswet and his co-stars Rachel Brosnahan, Skyler Gisondo, and Nicholas Hoult are likely to show up at some point.
Superman will fly into theaters on July 11, 2025.
