Japan earthquake: Massive quake prompts Tsunami warning for Kyushu and Shikoku

A massive 6.9 magnitude earthquake has hit Japan, prompting an urgent Tsunami warning.

Japan issued a Tsunami warning at 3.52pm (AWST) on Thursday, urging people on the islands of Kyushu and Shikoku to move to higher ground.

Media outlets are reporting one-metre high waves are set to smash the coast in the next 30 minutes.
