Johan Pilestedt’s Unreasonable Passion for Helldivers 2 Is The Reason Why Space Marine 2 Will Never Be Able To Beat It, Forever

Helldivers 2 managed to succeed because of the surmountable amount of passion that was behind the making of the game. Johan Pilestedt was at the center of it all, and it is all thanks to him that Helldivers 2 managed to do so well in the market, despite having many competitors.

The passion reflects on the game’s success, and that is one of the major reasons why the recently released title Space Marine 2 will never be able to surpass the legacy of Helldivers 2.

Helldivers 2‘s Success Has Johan Pilestedt At The Center of It

Pilestedt recently shared an anecdote about what went down before the release of one of their older game trailers. He shared the incident in great detail, which showed his and his team’s dedication in making the game possible. The amount of hard work he has put in deserves all the success that comes his way.

During Dev Dales, Pilestedt talks about a closet incident. He called it one of the coolest moments in game development history, and it truly was. Helldivers 2 Bile Titan trailer that was released a while back has the most interesting story about how it got completed.

Pilestedt and the team were stuck in Cologne, and the requirement for a VO for the video suddenly arose. They did not have access to a recording studio and, therefore, had to think creatively. What they did was stuff their hotel’s cupboard with blankets to create a balanced space for recording sound, and Pilestedt went inside the cupboard and recorded it.

The struggles did not end there; the next challenge they faced was while uploading the files. The hotel’s WI-FI was not good enough to handle the amount of data that needed to be transferred, and the upload was not looking possible.

They then traveled to the airport devoid of WI-FI yet again. They were constantly trying peace meal to upload all the recordings and managed to do so in the nick of time before boarding the game, and the trailer was made possible.

Space Marine 2 Can Not Beat Helldivers 2 In Their Lanes

Space Marine 2’s online multiplayer mode has failed to give Helldivers 2 a hard time and it is largely due to Helldiver 2’s fan base and loyalty of players. However, this in no way implies that Space Marine 2 is not a good game. The campaign mode of the game is truly a work of art.

The sheer amount of work that goes behind keeping Helldivers 2 up and running is immense; there are hardly any breaks since it is a live-service game. Pilestedt has always been central to the game’s success. He has always played an important role in the game’s success, including the game’s recent success.
