Kill the Justice League, Including More Recording for Unknown Content
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has had a less than ideal beginning to its live-service platform. The game garnered quite a lot of negative feedback before its release, and even more so after it. But there’s still much to look forward to in Rocksteady’s take on the now-beloved band of misfits.
One of the first major additions to the game is a playable Joker who will be voiced by JP Karliak instead of Mark Hamill. In our recent interview with the voice behind the clown himself, he revealed a lot about his personal experiences on set, the absence of Mark Hamill, and hinted at the potential of even more of Elseworld’s Joker than we originally thought.
Could Suicide Squad be Getting Even More Joker Content than We Originally Assumed?
The post-launch content for the game will primarily focus on Elseworlds. Free playable characters, as well as potentially visiting other worlds and continuing the story, seem like quite an exciting prospect. But there may be more to it.
Upon being asked about how he felt about the game’s mixed reception and how it may have affected his performance, Karliak had this to say,
It certainly didn’t affect my original performance, and it definitely won’t affect it going forward either. Primarily because there is already an established version in the can that I did and I can’t start tweaking it now.
Judging by his choice of words, it seems that there could be more of the clown coming to the game sometime in the future. By ‘original performance‘ he could be referring to what he has done for the upcoming DLC right now, but ‘going forward‘ hints that there’s even more to come.
It seems that Karliak may not have recorded all of his lines yet. Either that, or Rocksteady has something grander in mind for the clown prince of crime.
He continued explaining how the criticism didn’t affect him, as pleasing everyone can be hard to do, but of course, the validation that comes along with it is preferred.
The reason that there are so many individually beloved versions of the Joker is because everyone has their own taste for what they like.
But criticism aside, the prospect of even more Joker content is quite interesting.
What Could We Expect from Potential Future Content with the Joker?
Currently, we know that he will be playable in-game and will have his own story as well. The game is going full multiversal with the concept of Elseworlds, and Joker will be the first to leave his mark on the live-service title.
He is currently only confirmed to be included in the seasonal content for Season 1, but judging by Karliak’s choice of words, could it be that the character has an even bigger role in future seasons?
Of course, this is just speculation, but it could be that, based on his popularity, Rocksteady may add him to future seasons, where we’ll get even more characters and character episodes.
But what do you think of all this? Do you think we’ll get even more Joker content? Let us know in the comments.
