Kratos vs Master Chief, PlayStation vs Xbox, Halo vs God of War

Have you ever wondered what it would look like to see Master Chief from Halo take on Kratos from God of War in a gory battle to the death? If you have this Mortal Kombat 1 mod, you’re covered, as it brings these two iconic characters into NetherRealm Studio’s most recent iteration of the Mortal Kombat franchise.

Keep in mind that neither of these characters are actually available within the game, and there is no indication that they make their entrance into this game. However, this isn’t the first time that Kratos has been a part of the Mortal Kombat roster, but it is the first for Master Chief, which is causing the console wars to spark up once again.

As stated above, this combination of fighters has only come together thanks to a mod that brings in some rather unusual models of the characters, allowing them to take on the attack patterns of characters that are already in the game but changing the skins to fit these unique characters.

One of the many questions throughout gaming history is whether or not these two characters would be evenly matched and who would win between them. Even though this isn’t the perfect space to test out these characters against each other, it is very fun to see them wail on each other in a mess of blood and gore.

Sadly, the video clip that is being used to display the mod is very short, but from the few clips we can see, it would undeniably be an exciting fight to witness, potentially in the future. Many, if not all, Xbox gamers will be happy to know that, in this made-up scenario, Master Chief does walk away as the victor, although he did have a helping hand from a familiar survivor.

If seeing Kratos and Master Chief duking it out isn’t enough to get you excited about the many mods that are available for Mortal Kombat 1, then there are plenty of other characters that will likely take your fancy, as there are many different and familiar characters from fiction and non-fiction that are available through countless mods.

With the clip that shows Master Chief ruthlessly slaughtering Kratos, one character makes their entrance to assist in the takedown of the God of War as Joel from The Last of Us makes a small cameo within the clip, showing that even Xbox and PlayStation characters can work together to take down a superior foe.

Currently, there are dozens of mods available for Mortal Kombat 1, and each of these mods brings a whole new level to the game, whether you are looking for something goofy like Woody from Toy Story, John Cena from his classic wrestling days, or Wolverine from Marvel.
