Lancaster County man charged with multiple child sex offenses
LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — A Lancaster County man has been arrested and charged for allegedly raping a minor.
According to East Earl Township Police, on June 26, 2024, the department received a report of an alleged child rape. Police say it was alleged that 57-year-old Christopher T. Zweifel, of East Earl Township, sexually assaulted a child.

Police say on August 5, 2024, at around 9:50 a.m., Zweifel was arrested on the following charges: Rape of Child (F1), Statutory Sexual Assault (F1), Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse w/Child (F1), Rape – Forcible Compulsion (F1), IDSI – Person Less Than 16 Years of Age (F1), IDSI – Forcible Compulsion (F1), Sexual Assault (F2), Aggravated Indecent Assault of Child (F1), Aggravated Indecent Assault – Forcible Compulsion (F2), Aggravated Indecent Assault – Victim Less than 13 years of Age (F2), Indecent Assault – Forcible Compulsion (M1), Indecent Assault – Person Less than 13 Years of Age (M1), Corruption of Minors – Defendant Age 18 or Above (F3).
Zweifel was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Jonathan Heisse, who set Zweifel’s bail at $250,000. Zweifel was unable to post bail and was committed to Lancaster County Prison to await a preliminary hearing, per police.
