Major Sacramento County crash involves five vehicles, injures four

(FOX40.COM) — A major crash involving five vehicles in Sacramento County put four people in the hospital on Saturday afternoon, according to Metro Fire of Sacramento.

The agency said the crash occurred around 3:15 p.m. in Antelope, about 15 miles northeast of downtown Sacramento, on Daly Avenue and Roseville Road.

When Metro Fire crews arrived on the scene, they found someone involved in the crash trapped inside their vehicle. “Crews worked to extricate the victim and were able to free them from the wreckage,” Metro Fire said.

The degree of injury experienced by all hospitalized parties was not made clear by Metro Fire, but the agency said the incident was handed off to the California Highway Patrol and they will complete the investigation.
