Mark Wahlberg Would Have Stopped Malevelon Creek Being Lost in Helldivers 2, and the Fall of Reach in Halo, with Hilarious Re-emergence of Years Old Meme

Many Helldivers 2 players have been facing the impossible, as more planets are being invaded by the Automatons, and aliens plague the universe. This risks the fall of Super Earth, but with more weapons and players already joining, and a million more on the way, we can only hope these planets become free sometime soon.

One of the most recent planets to have fallen is known as Malevelon Creek, which players have dubbed “Space Vietnam.” Recently, this planet fell to Automaton control, and gamers brought back an old meme in an attempt to introduce humor to this plight.

Over the past few days, players have been sharing a meme linking both Helldivers 2 and Mark Wahlberg, which has been used for many years. These gamers have been sharing the meme on Twitter/X, and it has been getting a lot of attention from the community.

The meme in question references Mark Wahlberg, and suggests that if he were on the planet, things would have been different. Clearly this is meant to be a joke, as one person cannot make that much of a difference in the game, but plenty of different players are using the meme to insinuate that their contribution could have helped.

Keep in mind this is only a meme created by the gaming community, and Mark Wahlberg hasn’t made a single comment regarding Helldivers 2

This isn’t the first time gamers have used this meme format, as there are those who are even using the meme to describe the Fall of Reach in Halo, which ended with the planet burning to a crisp, and suggesting Mark Wahlberg could have saved it.

Since gamers weren’t able to liberate Malevelon Creek on their first pass, it is understandable that those who weren’t involved would use such a meme to make jokes regarding their contributions, and they could have made a difference in the battle.

As Helldivers 2 grows in popularity, even more players will begin to save the universe from these threats. It is to the point where even Xbox players may finally get a chance to throw their hats in the ring, and if they do, this meme will have even more power behind it.

Now that players have a second chance to liberate the planet, we can be sure that all of them will be making efforts that aren’t in vain, and that, just like the meme suggests, things could go differently.

What do you think of the use of this meme to describe the situation at Malevelon Creek? Do you think you would have made a difference if you were able to join the fight? Let us know what you think in the comments.
