Marvel Rivals Fans Dissing on Adam Warlock’s Ult Conveniently Ignore Another Support Hero With Even Worse Abilities
Marvel Rivals is reaching an unbelievable number of players that one could have never imagined before its release, and it is all coming true because of one simple formula: the game is fun. Unfortunately, making a game this fun often involves playing around with the power balance of the characters in the game, a meta that many in the player base might not be fans of.
As a result of the above, some players have taken to forums and social media to criticize Adam Warlock’s ultimate ability, calling it horrible and underwhelming. While the criticism isn’t entirely baseless, there’s a significant oversight in these arguments: Rocket Raccoon, another support agent in the game, that arguably takes the cake for having the least impactful ultimate ability.
Why Adam Warlock Might Need a Buff Soon
Adam Warlock is a unique support character in Marvel Rivals and has a niche set of abilities and team-up advantages that help him gain an edge over the enemies amid a battle.
However, when compared to other agents, a user on Reddit argues that Adam Warlock’s Ultimate, in particular, is so horrible that it is ‘borderline useless’, essentially becoming a call for help to the developers.
Adam’s ult is fucking horrible

The user argues that Warlock’s ultimate calls for the player to leave the battlefield while your team is fighting in order to properly and efficiently make use of the ult, which just brings back your teammate at just 100 HP.
These are all valid concerns, and this is something that the brains behind the game should make sure to look into as it impacts the game and ultimately the already chosen few support players who play Adam Warlock.
Rocket Raccoon: The Ultimate Marvel Rivals Underdog
While Adam Warlock’s ultimate has its issues, Rocket Raccoon’s ultimate, Cosmic Yarn Amplifier, is arguably even less effective. As another support agent in Marvel Rivals, everything that Raccoon’s ultimate ability does is throw down a gadget that provides a 40% damage boost and a bit of HP buff to the players around.
Making what could have easily been just a seasonal team-up benefit the whole ultimate is something that is beyond the players of the game. For an idea, while Marvel Rivals already takes a lot of inspiration from Valorant, the game could have easily copied something like Raze’s ult and given our favorite Raccoon an ultimate that suits his character.
The frustration with Adam Warlock’s ultimate is understandable; it doesn’t deliver the high-impact results players expect from a game-changing ability. However, comparing it to Rocket Raccoon’s C.Y.A is what finally puts things into perspective.
