Melatonin makes the jump to PS5 in March

It’s almost time to doze off and explore those funky dreams because Melatonin is coming to the PlayStation 5. Even better, Melatonin is only a few short days away on March 12.

The surprise announcement comes thanks to Half Asleep Games’ YouTube channel. Melatonin is a rhythm game that explores reality and dreams merging. A prime example is when players have to match rhythm with phone notifications for things like Reddit and YouTube. This is just one of the 20 total levels that are spread out over different chapters in the game. If these levels aren’t enough, the game also features a pretty robust level editor, allowing players to dream even longer.

For interested players, Melatonin also offers a wide variety of assist options. The main option, which the game makes you do on your first time playing, is calibrating to account for lag. This helps players track when they should be pressing the button, as it adjusts when the audio will play and hopefully recognizes your inputs better. This does have a catch, though, as players should calibrate for any different audio device they use, from TV speakers to headphones.

Between a fantastic soundtrack and hand-drawn art, Melatonin has a lot to offer, and with this port, hopefully more people will be able to experience the game.

More Smash Jump: A new open-world Terminator game has been revealed, a playable build for TimeSplitters 4’s prototype was found, and Gabe shares some of the surprising villains turned good…at least for now.
