Mines Rovers’ colts overcome sluggish start to beat Tigers
Mines Rovers battled back from an early deficit last Saturday to pile on seven goals after half-time in a 14-point win against Boulder, 10.5 (65) to 8.3 (51), in the Goldfields Football League’s colts division.
The Diorites trailed at half-time by three points but surged to a ninth win after the main break on the back of Shayden Doughty’s four goals.
Edward Wilson booted three goals for Boulder.
In the other clash, Tish Clark booted eight goals in Kalgoorlie’s big win over Railways, 23.20 (158) to 0.0 (0).
Harrison Tarasinski joined in the rout with five goals, and teammate Rory Pumpa booted three.
In last weekend’s reserves matches, Railways defeated Kalgoorlie by 48 points, 11.4 (70) to 3.4 (22), and Boulder had Mines Rovers’ measure by 14 points, 10.7 (67) to 7.11 (53).
