Modern Warfare 3 Players to Deal With, but Don’t Be Expecting Activision Blizzard’s Customer Support to Be That Much Help This Time

The latest video game in the Call of Duty franchise hasn’t been doing well since it launched in November last year, as it seems like new issues keep popping up on a daily basis. Modern Warfare 3 already received criticism for its lazy single-player Campaign, but if nothing else, one would expect its Multiplayer and Zombies modes to run properly.

Unfortunately, not a day seems to go by without someone facing some sort of problem with Activision Blizzard’s game, and to make matters worse, the publisher’s customer support isn’t exactly too helpful.

Activision’s Call of Duty Customer Support Is Not of Much Help

To put the incompetence of Activision Blizzard customer support into context, a player recently completed the three challenges required to unlock a weapon called FR 5.56 in Modern Warfare 3. However, even upon doing so, it was still locked in their in-game armory, leading them to contact Call of Duty support in hopes of getting a solution that might take care of the bug.

Since the player is not the only one who seems to be facing this problem, one would think that a publisher as massive as Activision would swiftly handle these situations and leave its community satisfied, but that just was not the case.

The player shared a screenshot of Activision Blizzard customer support’s reply, and they could not believe that this is how unprofessionally the company deals with the problems that its community faces. All the email response had to offer was general troubleshooting steps that almost everyone tries before contacting the studio as a final resort.

From uninstalling Steam to running the game as an administrator, not a single step seemed to have fixed the problem because none of the instructions were specifically related to the actual bug.

The MW3 Customer Support Feels Like It Is AI-Generated

The Activision customer support response caught the attention of other players in the community who face numerous issues with the latest Call of Duty as well, with one gamer calling it “AI Support” because of how automated and unauthentic the reply truly felt. Almost all of the instructions feel like an equivalent of “have you tried turning it off and back on again?” which may take care of general issues but does not do much for specific weapon bugs.

Well, if the publisher is not going to be of any help, another player took it upon themselves to help the community out, as it seems like if one extracts the FR 5.56 in the Modern Warfare Zombies mode, it should take care of the problem.

Call of Duty players already believe that Activision does not really care about its community, and with such disappointing customer support, things may get even worse for Modern Warfare 3.
