New Battlefield Game Being Developed By 4 Studios
The next new Battlefield Game isn’t just going to be an EA game made by DICE. Instead, there will be four different studios working on the next game.
EA held its Investor Day 2024 conference on Tuesday, and gave a bit more information on who will be developing the game, and in what fashion.

According to the company, DICE will focus on the game’s multiplayer online. Motive, which was announced to be moving to Battlefield earlier this year, will work on the game’s single player offering. Criterion Games, which worked on Battlefield V and 2024 as well as the Need For Speed franchise, is working on both single player and multiplayer. Lastly, Ripple Effect is working on a “new experience” that will be announced in the future.
Recently, EA confirmed an earlier Insider Gaming exclusive regarding features for the next Battlefield game. The game will feature a return to 64-player maps, a classed-based system, and will release sometime in 2025. Insider Gaming has also learned that the next Battlefield game will have a free-to-play Battle Royale mode. It’s unclear if that’s the “new experience” Ripple Effect is working on.
More information on the game will be unveiled at a later date, including a first look at gameplay, modes, a release date, and more.
