New Nintendo Wireless Device Seemingly Confirms Switch 2 Feature We Predicted Earlier

Nintendo has always been known for its innovative approach to gaming, and a recent discovery in a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) filing has once again sparked excitement among fans. The Japanese gaming giant has submitted plans for a new wireless device, and while details are scarce, some intriguing features have caught the attention of the gaming community.

Interestingly, this development seems to align with a prediction we made in a previous article about the potential features of the highly anticipated Nintendo Switch 2.

According to the FCC filing, as reported by Metro, Nintendo’s new wireless device (model number CLO-001) is equipped with a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi radio and a 24GHz mmWave sensor. While the specific purpose of this device remains unclear, one detail will particularly pique the interest of Switch 2 enthusiasts: the presence of a USB-C port.

In our earlier article, we speculated that the Switch 2 might feature a dual-screen design, based on recently circulating leaks and rumors. The inclusion of a USB-C port on this mysterious new device has led some to believe that it could be an accessory or peripheral designed to work in conjunction with the Switch 2, possibly supporting the dual-screen functionality we predicted.

Of course—as Metro notes—the FCC filing doesn’t explicitly mention the Switch 2, and the device’s model number suggests it may be part of a new product line altogether. However, the timing of this discovery and the specific features mentioned have certainly fueled speculation about its potential connection to Nintendo’s upcoming console.

Another intriguing aspect of Nintendo’s new wireless device is the inclusion of a 24GHz mmWave sensor. This technology, commonly found in smart devices, is often used for detecting human presence or movement.

As with any unannounced Nintendo product, the discovery of this wireless device has generated plenty of excitement and speculation among fans. While the company has not officially commented on the FCC filing or its relation to the Switch 2, it’s clear that anticipation for the next-generation console continues to grow.

With rumors suggesting that the Switch 2 could feature improved hardware, 4K support, and even AI capabilities, it’s no wonder that fans are eagerly parsing every bit of information for clues about what the future holds.

For now, all we can do is speculate and dream about the possibilities. But if this mysterious wireless device is indeed connected to the Switch 2, it might just be the first tangible hint of the innovation Nintendo has in store for us.
