Nintendo announces Xenoblade Chronicles X remaster for Switch

Nintendo has announced a remaster of Wii U title Xenoblade Chronicles X for Nintendo Switch.

Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition will release for Switch on March 20, 2025, featuring enhanced visuals, added story elements and more, according to the platform holder.

“Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition features your character at the center of the action in a standalone sci-fi story,” reads a synopsis for the game. “There is even more to discover in this definitive version of the game. Just who is the mysterious hooded figure on the beach? You’ll have to stay tuned to learn more…”

Originally released in 2015 and developed by Monolith Soft, Xenoblade Chronicles X has seen two sequels released for Nintendo Switch in 2017 and 2022.
