In Nobody 2, we see Hutch Mansell, played by Bob Odenkirk, striving to reconnect with his family during what seems like an innocent vacation in Plummerville. However, this ordinary trip quickly devolves into intense mayhem when he finds himself at odds with a corrupt theme-park operator and a dubious sheriff. This leads to an explosive showdown with the ruthless crime boss, Lendina (Sharon Stone).
Directed by the talented Timo Tjahjanto, known for his prowess in Indonesian action filmmaking and making his mark in English-language cinema, the film dives into adrenaline-fueled battles, blending savage action with a twist of dark humor and deep emotional moments.

Simple, effective story in Nobody 2
While the story may be a simple one, Nobody 2 is basically a family man going on vacation… It’s done in an effective manner , even though the narrative doesn’t quite capture the vibrancy and emotional richness of the original, feeling instead like it leans on familiar conflict scenarios without significant development of the characters, if that’s a priority for you. Nevertheless, the central theme revolves around family and making me
Bob Odenkirk showcases his signature intensity and subtle charisma in Nobody 2, deftly navigating the domestic turmoil alongside a lethal edge, while conveying a deep internal conflict. Connie Nielsen is praised for enriching the emotional layers of the story while being a key player in keeping the family together when it seems all hell is breaking loose. Sharon Stone’s portrayal of the antagonist had me in tears; her exaggerated and flamboyant performance was amusing, and even cartoonish at times…which I loved , sometimes a villain is just crazy, and the director did a good job in showing us just how deranged she is as a crime boss.
Having waited for a sequel, I can comfortably say I wasn’t disappointed and with David Leitch producing the wild, gory, and insanely fun ride that never lets up, and highly recommend it if you liked the first Nobody film , you will enjoy this one, while slightly different, still crazy good time.
Nobody 2 is out now in cinemas!
