Not Just Dying Around Walls, But XDefiant’s ‘Super Bullets’ Needs a Fix as Well; The Netcode Really is Broken

With almost three months of life, Ubisoft continues to strongly support the content and community of XDefiant. This is its new first-person action title, offering gameplay very similar to games like Call of Duty but with a free-to-play approach, making its proposal much more accessible to any type of player.

However, in recent posts on platforms like Reddit, players have been complaining a lot about certain aspects regarding bullet damage and how it works in ranked matches. The studio should start taking players’ complaints seriously.

Players Believe That XDefiant Netcode Is Inoperable

Practically without any marketing or promotion, XDefiant achieved a relatively successful launch for the studio, proving that it can compete against the popular first-person action saga Call of Duty.

This free-to-play game offers very similar gameplay and maximizes all the resources that Ubisoft’s various franchises can offer. However, like any game as a service, complaints and suggestions are common from the community, which always wants to have the best possible gaming experience.

In a recent Reddit post, a user noted that there are two particular weapons that seem to have super bullets. These are the ACR and the MP7, which seem to penetrate practically any surface.

Players took the opportunity to comment on this post, voicing similar complaints about the damage of certain weapons and their ridiculous range to shoot from virtually anywhere. In this type of game, bullets penetrating walls are not so rare.

The Community Wants the Studio to Make the Necessary Adjustments

The complaints continued, and many players referred to XDefiant ranked matches, which appear unbalanced due to how these weapons do damage from practically anywhere without any consideration.

Most users are asking the studio to make adjustments to balance this so that players can continue to enjoy these matches, which are the most competitive mode. Among the comments,

Another suggestion the community is making to the studio is to balance the weapons and the number of bullets it takes to kill an enemy. Many players have noticed that they need 15 bullets to kill an enemy, whereas the enemy only needs three to kill the player.

This imbalance is too noticeable, and it is already making the most regular players in this title impatient. Ubisoft has a lot of work ahead.

The development studio is on the verge of launching two major titles that have been in development for several years. On the one hand, it will launch Star Wars Outlaws this month, and next month, the long-awaited Assassin’s Creed Shadows will also see the light.

This could end up being a great year for the studio, which has been through numerous, quite complicated periods regarding sales and success for its various titles. The future of this company looks quite bright.

What are your thoughts on these players’ opinions? Let us know in the comments!
