One Scene in Season 2 Trailer Hints, Show Could Be Making a Huge Change to Ellie

The Last of Us is one of the most popular action-adventure video game and media franchises in the world. Not only the games, but the TV adaptation of the series has won the hearts of millions of fans as well. This franchise is based on the post-apocalyptic United States, which is infested by cannibalistic humans.

The latest game in the series, TLOU Part II Remastered, has already garnered a huge fan base. Now it’s time for the TV series to do the same, as Season 2 of it is going to be aired in 2025, after a successful Season 1. In the trailer of the upcoming season, there is a strange scene that might shock the fan later.

Ellie or Dina – Who Is Going to Give Birth in The Last of Us Season 2?

Ellie Williams is the main character of the The Last of Us franchise. She has been seen in multiple games of this media company, along with in the series as well. On the other hand, Dina is a deuteragonist in Ellie’s story in The Last of Us Part II.

Dina was the friend of Ellie, and later they went on to build a more romantic relationship. During a celebration in Jackson, both of them danced and kissed each other for the first time, which marks their journey as partners.

Now coming to the astonishing part. In TLOU Part II, we see Dina giving birth to JJ, who happens to be Jesse’s child. But shockingly, a scene in the season two trailer might make you believe that Dina, but Ellie will be giving birth to a child. In this scene, Ellie is seen crying heavily and looks like giving birth.

If this actually happens, then this would be a departure from the game. Naughty Dog might deliver the change so that they can switch the dynamics of the series, drifting away from the game.

However, there might be other scenarios as well, like Ellie might have had a very bad nightmare where she kills an important character in the game. Now, these are all mere speculations, as anything can happen. We have to wait till 2025 to know the real story.

The company has recently announced that they have added TLOU Part I to the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium catalog.

Starting from September 26, which is known as The Last of Us Day, players will be able to redeem a voucher code for a new PS5 and PS4 avatar. These avatars will feature key characters from the franchise like Ellie, Joel, and many more. This offer will be valid till October 26.

Hold on, this is not the end. There will be a PlayStation Stars Campaign from September 26 to November 26, all PlayStation Stars members will earn a fearsome Clicker Digital Collectible as well.

This slight hint in the trailer might be an indicator for a huge turn-around in the TV series. Let’s see what lies ahead of The Last of Us fans in the second season.
