Palworld celebrates its first anniversary by releasing a roadmap for the game’s future

Palworld celebrates its first anniversary with a roadmap detailing a plethora of upcoming additions to the game.

Sunday, January 19 was Palworld’s one year anniversary. Palworld developer Pocketpair celebrated it in this Steam post.

In said Steam post was first a Pal popularity poll, where fans can vote on their favorite Pals from the game. Next was a roadmap including many additions that Pocketpair plans on adding to Palworld. These additions include updates as well as improvements to the game. The list is as follows:

  • CO-OP Crossplay
  • World Transfers for Pals
  • World Tree / Ending Scenario
  • Further ways to strengthen and improve Pals
  • Various new content such as new Pals and technologies
  • Game Collaborations (Including Terraria)
  • Improvements to world object placement
  • Improvements to base Pals
  • Improvements to optimization
  • Improvements to UX

Below is an image of the roadmap itself from the Steam post.

Some of the most prominent items from that list to notice would be the “World Tree / Ending Scenario,” which implies an ending of some sort, and the “Game Collaborations.” It notes in parentheses that these game collaborations will include Terraria, although in what manner exactly is currently not known.

In addition to the roadmap, Pocketpair announced that the soundtrack for the game is now available on the Pocketpair Youtube channel.

“The soundtrack is available for free on the Pocketpair official YouTube channel. Enjoy the music of Palworld, a mysterious world of adventure and action, and enjoy a unique video featuring over 50 different Pals!”

In our early access review, it “far exceeded the expectations.” Also: “The exploration can feel challenging but fair, and the rewarding feeling you get from leveling up your base or catching a Pal with an extremely low catch rate is amazing.”

We hope that fans continue to enjoy Palworld as it continues forward!
