Palworld’s Most Outspoken Dev Bucky Begs Xbox to Show Mercy on 1 Game as the Xbox 360 Marketplace Shuts Forever
Unfortunately, today Microsoft officially confirmed that it will permanently close the Xbox 360 store. Players can make their final purchases from the store today, and afterward, they can still play them at any time thanks to backward compatibility.
A prominent member of the Palworld development team submitted a request regarding the closure of the store and the release of a specific exclusive game for this console. Known on social media as Bucky, this community manager asked the company to release an old title on PC called The Lost Odyssey, a turn-based RPG.
A Popular Member of the Palworld Development Team Wants an Xbox 360 Game to Come to PC
More than 19 years after its release, Microsoft’s successful console will give a definitive closure to its store. The Xbox 360 will no longer have its store, and now players will only be able to access the games they have purchased through backward compatibility.
Even so, this platform remains the company’s most successful, putting it on par with what PlayStation has been offering. The community is mourning what this store once meant for its brand, including one particular Palworld dev.
The popular Community Manager of Palworld recently expressed his desire for the PC release of a specific game, currently exclusive to the 360.

Bucky mentioned The Lost Odyssey, a game that Mistwalker and Feelplus, the creators of Blue Dragon, exclusively released on the console in 2007. Many users were surprised by this request due to the game’s relatively unknown status.
Bucky Wants The Lost Odyssey to Be Available on PC
This game was a fairly classic action RPG where combat had somewhat original mechanics. Bucky is advocating for Microsoft to release a PC version of The Lost Odyssey, despite the game’s availability only on Xbox 360 until today.
Unfortunately, the studios did not manage to create other games, and several exclusive games for this console remain unreleased on other platforms.
Many fans will miss the store, even though they probably didn’t visit it all the time, due to the large number of diverse titles that this console had available.
In general, it was one of the company’s most diverse and well-managed platforms, approving all kinds of games that were quite original for their time. Fortunately, Microsoft continues to promote backward compatibility, ensuring the continued accessibility of this type of game.
Companies should not take these kinds of closures lightly, as many players still access these servers despite their age. Generally, more than 10 years pass before a company decides to permanently close servers.
For the time being, the company will continue to support old games and permit the continued play of purchased games.
