Parallel Experiment is a mind-bending co-op puzzle thriller arriving on mobile later this year

As we head into 2025, we’re already lining up some highly anticipated releases for the year. And not least among them is the upcoming co-op puzzle crime thriller Parallel Experiment from developer Eleven Puzzles. Confirmed to be landing on Steam this March it’s also planned to receive a proper iOS and Android demo later this year!

If you’re familiar with co-op puzzlers like Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes, you’ll already get the gist of what Parallel Experiment is about. Playing as detectives Ally and Old Dog, each player will often find themselves in two independent locations needing to communicate clues and work together even when apart to solve puzzles.

Coming with over 80 individual puzzles, an in-game notebook to keep track of the clues (how retro), cooperative dialogue, a noir comic book style and even different ways to annoy each other like knocking on windows or poking your fellow detective to add to the fun.

What’s in the booox?!

Before you ask, yes there will be crossplay. Which I think is the most ingenious part of this release. After all, working together via multiplayer can be pretty simple on desktop what with the luxury of Discord, but having the other person in the same room as you might be just as much an avenue for creative ways to distract and communicate with your partner; that is, as much as it may be a way for some more boring people to just play on both devices.

And while the co-op puzzle gimmick is not a new one, that also means there’s been plenty of trial and error testing across the world of gaming to ensure that we’re (hopefully) getting the best experience when Parallel Experiment does hit mobile.
