Path of Exile 2 Inherits Another Diablo 4 Issue, and Thereās No Fix in Sight
Even though Path of Exile 2 had a complicated launch due to server issues, the game has proven to be a smash hit, bringing in millions of gamers. Since the titleās release, Grinding Gear Games has committed to listening to the community and bringing everything they desire.
Even though the developers have heard players and brought patches and fixes for various aspects of the game, they still havenāt managed to fix the plague of trade scammers in Path of Exile 2. Itās clear that Grinding Gear Games has not learned anything from the failures of Diablo 4.

Considering the fact that Path of Exile 2 is looking to rival Diablo 4, youād think that Grinding Gear Games would carefully look at every issue in the Blizzard title and make it a point to improve it in its game. In Path of Exile 2, gamers can list their items for sale . However, whatās happening is that scammers send a bunch of whispers to sellers of expensive items but donāt end up joining the party when theyāre invited to trade. When they finally engage with the trade, they offer low-value items such as Alchemy Orbs, hoping that the seller doesnāt notice.
Multiple users have been tricked into buying valuable items that seemed identical to the genuine ones but had differences. Scammers tend to switch high-end items with low-value versions that cause a massive loss for players.
Thereās only one way to fix this frustrating issue in Path of Exile 2, and thatās by introducing a dedicated Item Auction House. As weāve seen with other games, itās the perfect way to reduce scam risks.
Path of Exile 2 has no plans to change endgame
Itās not the issue of scammers in Path of Exile 2; many gamers have been complaining about the gameās brutal difficulty and asking for changes to it. However, it seems like thatās not going to happen anytime soon.
In an interview, Path of Exileās co-directors Mark Roberts and Jonathan Rogers sat down to talk about the gameās upcoming patch. According to the developers, theyāve been following the debates surrounding the titleās risk/rewards system and how it ends up impacting the endgame.
The developers have defended the endgame challenge and stated that the game wonāt feel the same if they switched design to one portal, for example.
The whole ādeath actually matteringā thing is actually important. You have to have some level of failure being possible
On the topic of losing XP during Atlas runs, Rogers explained that itās a move to keep players at the right difficulty levels. Itās done to prevent them from progressing too quickly if they are struggling.
However, Grinding Gear Games is still looking at Path of Exile 2ās endgame difficulty levels and might bring changes in the future if they find it necessary.
