Perth Upmarket: Christmas is calling and this market has the answers at UWA on November 17
As summer begins to kick off so does the Christmas season in Perth, and what better way to spoil your relatives than with something made in WA.
Perth Upmarket is on Sunday from 10am until 4pm and WA locals are selling original pieces ranging from food to clothing.
Sunday’s event gives the Perth community a way to kick off the Christmas season and spend the day supporting local Perth businesses.

Perth fashion designer Victoria Alexion said today’s market is the busiest of the year and it’s a wholesome experience.
Miss Alexion said her brand is a slow fashion label.
“It means that everything is designed, produced, sewn by myself, so there’s a lot of love that goes into it, and it’s not manufactured overseas, and it’s really high quality fabrics,” she said.
The local said she has beautiful memories from childhood going to markets with her mum and buying original pieces that no one else had.
“This is honestly my dream way to spend a day. I just think it’s so wholesome, like all of the food carts, all of the little shops, it’s just such a good feeling and a good atmosphere,” she said.
“It’s just cool to support local Perth people.”
The Perth Upmarket describes itself as “Perth’s Original and Best Design Market”.
It promises a day full of “creativity, community spirit, and stunning designs from local makers”.
