Perth Wildcats star Bryce Cotton injured during NBL game against New Zealand Breakers

There are huge concerns for Perth Wildcats superstar Bryce Cotton with the four-time NBL MVP being taken to hospital after collapsing early in the game against New Zealand with a rib injury.

Cotton fell to the ground in the first 40 seconds after being involved in a normal contest. Then he slipped just two minutes later and immediately got rid of the ball before collapsing in pain.

The game was stopped so he could be removed from the court and he was quickly taken to the changerooms. he has since been taken to hospital with a suspected broken rib.

“I didn’t see much contact,” commentator Damon Lowery said.

“You can’t do much with that type of injury. You can’t breathe, you can’t stand up, you can’t extend yourself.”

The Wildcats trailed 24-18 at quarter time and face a challenge to get back into the game.
