Phantom Blade Zero Demo Forces Apology from the Devs at BiliBiliWorld and It Has Fans Worried
Since it was first presented, Phantom Blade Zero has been on players’ radar for its super original combat dynamics, where the inspiration from Chinese Kung Fu is clearly visible.
A Chinese studio named S-Game is developing the title itself, and at an event that took place in Shanghai, players could try a demo. The studio apologized for not having a demo ready for all players. Fans fear that the game is still far from being available, as there is no confirmed release date at the moment.
There Are Indications That Phantom Blade Zero Is Far From Its Release
Phantom Blade Zero surprised all players with spectacular and excellent gameplay that presents a combat design entirely based on Chinese Kung Fu and its various styles.
This title will be available for both PC and PlayStation 5, and fans can’t wait to try it out. The studio behind the game, S-Game, has not yet given any indication of when this eagerly awaited martial arts title will be available.
In a recent post on their social media, the game mentioned a future demo that, for now, will not be available to the public. A few days ago, the studio attended an event in China where players could try out a bit of its gameplay.
Here’s a highlight from #PhantomBladeZero at #BilibiliWorld! Thank you to all the players who participated and experienced the game.
Please forgive us, as the current demo is not yet available for large-scale testing.

Due to this, the studio was forced to clarify that the general demo is not yet ready, and more news about the game can be expected at the Tokyo Game Show and Gamescom later in the year.
Everything Indicates That Players Will Have to Wait a Good While to See This Title in Action
Considering the background of games that were rushed to release, it’s not a bad idea for the studio to take its time to launch Phantom Blade Zero with the best possible quality.
The studio also took the opportunity to show a promotional video of all the people who had the chance to try the game at the BiliBiliWorld event. The S-Game team also mentioned that the demo shown at this event is solely focused on combat.
Users quickly started responding on social media platforms like X, saying they fear the game is still far from being ready for release. Many of these users calculated that the game won’t be available for at least two more years.
The latest video released by the studio doesn’t mention anything about the release date, but rather which events the demo will be available at for attendees.
Phantom Blade Zero will feature a unique story based on old Kung Fu movies, with the gameplay focusing on defeating the various bosses encountered throughout the adventure.
The combat is heavily based on different Kung Fu styles with and without weapons, and the game aims to be an epic adventure where the player will feel total control over all of their actions in battle, with many inspirations from the Soulslike genre.
