Phil Spencer’s Reaction to a PS5 Controller Reaffirms Xbox Superiority Atleast In One Race

There is one thing that Xbox is doing right, at least. PlayStation has long surpassed Xbox as people’s preferred console, and Xbox is not having a great time overall.

However, there is one thing in which nothing seems to come even near Xbox, and the same is confirmed by stats. Phil Spencer’s, the CEO of Microsoft Gaming, recent reaction after using a PS5 controller reaffirms Xbox’s superiority in one race.

Xbox Does Not Lead In A Lot of Things Except This

Nothing can come close to Xbox controllers. Sony does dominate in large sales of its latest-generation consoles sold in the market, but Xbox is far superior in making controllers. This is the only aspect where Xbox seems to be leading.

According to statistics revealed by Steam, it has been confirmed that Xbox dominates as people’s preferred choice of console for most PC players. PC players have slowly started to transition from the conventional keyboard and mouse combo to controllers.  The daily average controller usage by gamers has risen from about 5% to a whopping 15% since 2018.

According to the data revealed by Steam, it is certain that Xbox controllers are currently dominating the market, with the majority of players opting for it as opposed to the PS5 controller. According to statistics, 59% of sessions are using Xbox controllers, 26% are using PlayStation controllers, and 10% are on Steam Decks.

The data speaks for the victory of Xbox controller in this respect. It has also been revealed that Xbox controller is way more comfortable for longer hours than a PS5 controller due to its comfortable design and durability. There are also many variants available of the same controller on the market, as opposed to just a few solid colours available for PS5 controllers.

PS5’s Controllers Is Not Just The Preferred Choice By PC Players

Most of the players on PC use Xbox controllers due to the ease of access and the smooth experience that it offers. PS5, on the other hand, restricts a lot of things on a computer. It does not allow adaptive triggers and haptics to work via Bluetooth; it requires players to use the controlled wired if they want to enjoy the full experience.

On top of that, one needs to take many extra steps to ensure smooth functioning, as it is not well optimised to work with windows. There are a lot of bugs that players face on a regular basis.

PS5 controllers are also not as durable as Xbox; many players have been complaining about stick drift issues and connection issues with the PC after a year of use, which is a very short time for a machine of this quality to go bad. What do you think about it? Let us know in the comments below.
