Pickup truck rear-ends Amish buggy, one killed
JACKSON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WJW) – The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash involving an Amish buggy.
It happened in Jackson Township in Ashland County on Monday.

According to OSHP, around 6 a.m., a Ram pickup truck headed northbound on US 42 rear-ended an Amish Buggy.
The buggy and horse were pushed into a guardrail.

The buggy operator was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.
He was identified as William Miller, 31, of Polk, Ohio.
The driver of the pickup was not hurt.

OSHP reports the buggy was not equipped with a yellow flashing light but had reflective tape and a lantern.
The crash remains under investigation. No one has been charged.
