Pocketpair is publishing Surgent Studios new game

Surgent Studios, the developer behind Tales of Kenzera: Zau, is developing a horror game that is backed by Palworld developer Pocketpair. It’s also working on an afro-gothic RPG, too.

On Twitter, Pocketpair Publishing announced its first project, that Surgent’s new in-development horror game. At this stage, we don’t know how far along this project is or even its codename.

Surgent’s current known project is Project Uso, an afro-gothic isometric RPG taking place in the same universe Tales of Kenzera: Zau. This one is obviously billed as more gritty than the studio’s debut game.

It’s hard to say whether this new Pocketpair-backed horror game will also be in the same universe or be its own thing entirely. Details are sparce, but we suspect it will be a while before we hear anything more.
