Police urge public to avoid Pinjar bushland as they search for man who abandoned car

Police are searching for a man after he allegedly abandoned his car and ran into bushland in Perth’s north.

Ken Lilley allegedly abandoned his car on Tuesday afternoon when he was approached by police near the intersection of Wanneroo and Nowergup roads.

The 39-year-old is believed to be on foot in the surrounding bushland.

He is described as approximately 178cm tall, solid build with short shaved red hair.

He has a cross tattoo on his left cheek and other tattoos on his neck. He was last seen wearing a red and white t-shirt.

Anyone who sees Mr Lilley is asked not to approach but to contact police immediately on 131 444.

Members of the public have been urged to remain alert and avoid the bushland areas surrounding Wanneroo and Nowergup roads in Pinjar.
